Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on six key learning areas. These are:

English
Mathematics
Science and Technology
Human Society and Its Environment
(HSIE)
Creative Arts
(CA)
Physical Education, Health and Personal Development
(PE, H & PD)

COGs (Connected Outcomes Groups) cover the 6 KLAs by linking units of work under a common topic.

In addition, Aboriginal Education, Environmental Education, Multicultural Education, Anti-Racism, Drug Education, Gender Equity Education and Child Protection are addressed, as appropriate, across the six key learning areas.

The NSW Department of Education and Training bases all teaching syllabuses on a model using Òoutcomes in stagesÓ. Syllabus outcomes refer to the achievements expected of students by the end of each stage of school

Early Stage 1 - Kindergarten
Stage 1 - Years 1-2
Stage 2 - Years 3-4
Stage 3 - Years 5-6
